 THE AMERICAN DREAM The phrase “The American dream” is used in many ways, but it essentially is an idea that suggests that anyone in the US can succeed through hard work and has the potential to lead a happy, successful life. It is a mixture of freedom, of opportunities and personal boldness, the American dream is the hope of a better life. The Americans invented the expression: « from rags to riches » to describe this dream. It shows that everybody can succeed even if we start from nothing. People have the freedom to get education, work in their jobs, and choose what they really need for their life. I guess the American dream means a perfect life plan for all kinds of humans. Dreaming  is nice and useful for motivation and the American Dream is a good example of it. But you also need to work to achieve it every day and in the meanwhile enjoy little moments in life.
